It's the first two we're mostly concerned about this point, especially after Eden gave an interview to the Mirror in which he basically confirmed that he will indeed sign a new Chelsea contract.

"I will answer you the same as Thibaut", Hazard told French media.

He also said his new deal would come after goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, another reported target for Real Madrid, signs his contract extension in west London.

Hazard has continuously been linked with a big-money move to Real Madrid, but Chelsea are desperate to tie him down and secure his long-term future.

Hazard has made 18 Premier League games, scoring six goals so far this season. He has been one of the major reason that Chelsea are consistently on top four this season after a poor start.

26-year-old Hazard's current contract at Stamford Bridge does not run out until 2020, but Chelsea are keen to keep him at the club after interest from the Spanish giants and are now attempting to improve his weekly wage, bonuses and release clause. Courtois has already hinted at moving away from Chelsea in December.

Hazard has always been touted as a potential target for Real Madrid as the Spanish club continue to consider bolstering their squad. "It is not always easy, but I'd also seen this coming", Courtois said of his a personal situation while speaking on Belgian television show Stadion on VTM.
