We'll keep an eye out for any news of new skins coming to Overwatch, but we should also note that as with the Halloween Terror event in October, skins that debuted during last year's event will be making a return. This event is only run for a limited time during the Christmas holidays and offers some exclusive content during this time.
The event begins on December 13.
Now about the skins, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan has confirmed that a ton of them will be up for grabs, including legendary ones and a "long-awaited Hanzo skin" that turned up in one of the Overwatch comics before. We also don't know if this skin is tied to the specific winter event or if it will go into circulation with the normal look boxes. King's Row and Hanamura you might remember from previous updates while Black Forest is completely new. Well, it's a good thing I did, as I can now report that we're headed to a Winter Wonderland! When players queue up for Mei's Yeti Hunt, they'll be able to select if they prefer to play as Mei or the Yeti. What's new here is it's expanding to the Black Forest map too, and a change in scenery is always a nice addition to have.
Winter Wonderland's newest mode unfolds across Overwatch's Nepal Village map and pits five Meis against one yeti-themed Winston, all controlled by different players.
Kirstjen Nielsen sworn in as DHS secretary
Some in Congress still have their doubt about the politics behind the move and whether she has what it takes to lead DHS. Nielsen served at DHS as chief of staff under former head John Kelly in the early days of the Trump administration.
Huskies to face Penn State in Fiesta Bowl
Lehigh's hot start hit a brick wall as the team faced off against a string of Penn State's four returning national champions. Mike will have one final game in which he will represent Penn State University on Saturday, December 30 at 4 p.m.
Struggling Woods plummets as Hoffman's lead is cut
"I thought it was great", said Woods, who matched the round of his playing partner in PGA Tour's Player of the Year Justin Thomas .
Speaking of Mei, Blizzard is planning a new event around the snowy scientist.
The event returns to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 12. Meanwhile, Winston will be scouring the map for meat to fuel his Primal Rage ability. "But the point of some of these seasonal brawls are just to be fun and light and refreshing for a short period of time", Kaplan said.
It sounds like it will be a pretty fun update so if you did enjoy last year's Winter Wonderland event, then you'll want to keep an eye out for this year's event.
