Gurpurab festivities conclude at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University

Sikh pilgrims from various parts of world including India, Canada, United Kingdom and from inside the country especially from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reached Nankana Sahib to take part in Baba Guru Nanak's 549th birth anniversary celebrations at main Palki procession on Saturday. As per the Sikh traditions, the early years of Nanak Dev's life were marked with various events that portrayed that he has been marked by divine grace.

The teachings and ideals of Guru Nanak are still relevant and will be in future too.

The day begins with the singing of morning hymns and is followed by Katha and Kirtan, which is recital of scriptures and hymns in the praise of the Guru.
