This week gaming company Razer unveiled the Razer Phone, a brand new android-powered smartphone with a strong focus on gamers. On top of that there's a built-in adaptive UltraMotion refresh technology - co-developed with Qualcomm - which synchronises the display with the GPU for maximum smoothness. It has 5.7-inch QHD display with 120Hz with Ultramotion and a wide colour gamut made by Sharp. Razer has worked on it and had made it into an advantage by including dual firing front speakers providing the best audio, not only during gaming but also for music and when watching videos on the large, lovely display.
The first major setback that the phone has or doesn't is the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Razer Phone makes for an interesting choice in the high-end phone segment given its high-end performance to support gaming while still offering nearly all that one would expect of a flagship phone. This is not to say that the Razer Phone will automatically have poor battery life, but to illustrate that there are some factors in play that could pull a 4,000 mAh battery down to Earth.
"The future of gaming is rapidly expanding to mobile devices, and both Razer and Tencent are at the forefront of fast-tracking development", said Vincent Gao, global marketing director at Tencent Games. Pre-orders for the Razer Phone will begin today and the sales will start on November 17 in the US. For purchase, it will be available on November 17th, 2017.
The phone is equipped with Dolby Atmos audio, DAC and has multiple equalizer settings which can easily be switched through based on whether you are watching a movie, music or playing a game.
