TCL, a Chinese company that manufactures the Blackberry Smartphones globally launched the new Blackberry Motion smartphone.

Following the release of the BlackBerry KEYone earlier this year, here comes a new model with the BlackBerry Motion.

On the front of the device lies the fingerprint scanner, but no QWERTY keyboard in sight.

The launch also bears more good news for those being bogged down by the wireless trendsetters like Apple and Google, as the BlackBerry sports a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The BlackBerry Motion bestows a 5.5-inch Premium Anti-Scratch touchscreen display with a FHD 1080p resolution. The BlackBerry Motion runs on Qualcomm's wildly popular Snapdragon 625 mid-range octa-core SoC clocked at 2 GHz, with an Adreno 506 GPU.

The BlackBerry Motion comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD display and comes with Android 7.1 Nougat installed out of the box. The BlackBerry Motion is also IP67 water and dust resistant. It is priced at AED 1,699 in UAE and SAR 1,699 in Saudi Arabia (approximately $460 / Rs. 30,000). There's no word on availability in the U.S. It still charges via USB Type-C and it has support for Quick Charge 3.0. The rear camera is 12MP at f/2.0 and the front facing camera is 8MP.

TCL has officially introduced the BlackBerry Motion smartphone today. The overall look of the smartphone might be a little dated, however, it has a solid build which will definitely be to the liking of many BlackBerry fans. Apart from that, the Motion features 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. There's also a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button which makes it easier to unlock or to confirm purchases from your phone.

This means the phone can go from zero battery to 50 per cent charge in just 36 minutes. I was impressed with the battery life offered by KEYone, and hopefully, the Motion delivers the same.
