Game of Thrones live show is coming to Dublin

As Game of Thrones gears up to begin production on its eighth and final season next month, HBO has finally unveiled who will be at the helm of the last few episodes of the smash hit series.

The final season of the HBO series will be directed by Miguel Sapochnik, David Nutter, and GoT showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Weiss and David Benioff themselves want to direct the finale; though the pair have only directed two early episodes together, they obviously have plenty of experience on set.

Game of Thrones fans will have the chance to hear composer Ramin Djawadi lead an orchestra and choir as they perform music from all seven seasons of the Emmy Award-winning HBO Series.

David Nutter is also returning, who helmed season five's finale Mother's Mercy and the infamous Red Wedding episode from season three. With his pension for handling the more sprawling moments of the series, odds are that when the final season's bigger battle sequences erupt (perhaps when Cersei's Golden Company of mercenaries crosses paths with our heroes) will be orchestrated under the watchful eye of Sapochnik.

Season 8 will consist of just six episodes and each episode is expected to be over an hour long.

Spain and Catalonia argue for control of regional police
Catalonia represents a fifth of Spain's 1.1-trillion-euro ($1.32 trillion) economy and enjoys wide self-government. Carles Puigdemont, the Catalan regional president, urged protesters on the streets in Barcelona to remain calm.

Crude prices rise on signs of drop in global inventories
Hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico have pushed up crude inventories as some US refineries have been shut by flooding. Brent for November settlement advanced $1.03 to $56.17 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange.

The final season is only six episodes, but each one will be at least 80 minutes.

What is certain is which episode Benioff and Weiss will take on.

So where does Game of Thrones' $15 million per episode fall on the list of the most expensive shows of all time? People praise Game of Thrones for its cinematic aesthetic and "Hardhome" and "Battle of the Bastards" are two major reasons why. Weiss was director for the season four premiere "Two Swords", while Benioff was credited for season three's "Walk of Punishment".

They claim each episode of Stranger Things' first season - which itself was attempting to emulate the feeling of those 80s Steven Spielberg films - cost $6 million per episode.

With six episodes in the entire series, as a fan, we couldn't help but feel how it would benefit from one steady director for the final run, instead of the regular rotating directors after each episode.
