Stephen Colbert hosts the 2017 Emmys tonight (Sunday, Sept. 17).

"This is a night to celebrate television and there's no bigger star on television in the a year ago than Donald Trump", the late night host sniped, according to Inside Edition.

NBC's long-running comedy sketch show "Saturday Night Live" received 22 nominations - the joint-highest total alongside "Westworld" - after a year of mercilessly spoofing the new commander-in-chief.

This year's Primetime Emmy Awards begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and air on CBS.

This year's Red Carpet will be broadcast on the E! Facebook Live stream. Plus, there will be plenty of photos and videos on the Emmys/Television Academy and CBS Facebook pages.
