Claudio Bravo: Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez Upset As Man City Move Failed

Posted September 14, 2017

Chile and Manchester City player Claudio Bravo has spoken about the failed transfer of Alexis Sanchez, who of course plays global football alongside him.

Manchester City were keen on a swap deal for Gunners' forward Alexis Sanchez and it was reported that Sterling was open to the idea of moving back to London.

When Thomas Lemar refused to join Arsenal, Alexis was forced to stay at the Emirates, despite his club agreeing a deal with Manchester City to sell the Chilean for £55million plus £5million in add-ons.

City were heavily linked with a move for the Chile worldwide during the transfer window, with reports suggesting that Sterling could have been used to help snare Sanchez, something Guardiola was quick to rule out.

"Sanchez went from happiness to bitterness in a few hours, although it's all in the past now", the goalkeeper told reporters at the Etihad.

Arsenal are still keen on acquiring the services of Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling - following a failed attempt during the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old Chile forward is out of contract at the end of the season but Guardiola was coy when asked if City would reactivate their interest in him in one of the next two transfer windows.

"Hopefully we can fix it so all the other clubs in Europe finish at the same time".

Ederson left the pitch on a stretcher after a high challenge from Liverpool's Saido Mane, who was shown a straight red card. "You can easily avoid putting your foot in somebody's face so you don't do them damage", said Bravo.

Bravo admitted: "You go from being on the bench watching the game and within seconds you are out there playing". I don't know what will happen in the winter time. "We are all very happy for the win". He's a player I knew from my time in Barcelona.
