Jury selection for the civil trial began on Monday, August 7, and the case is expected to last two weeks.

Swift says DJ David Mueller grabbed her from behind during a visit backstage in June 2013. Both legal teams have confirmed that Swift and Mueller will be testifying in court alongside other witnesses of the day in question.

While Mueller said in depositions that his damages amount to some $3 million, Swift wants compensatory, actual and punitive damages in an amount to be proven at trial, but also a verdict that holds Mueller responsible for the alleged assault.

TMZ says Taylor Swift has a sexual assult lawsuit against former DJ, David Mueller.

He claims he was sacked after Swift falsely accused him of grabbing her and he is seeking up to $3 million in damages.

A lot of people have taken to calling this case the Taylor Swift "butt grabbing trial", for some reason distinguishing the type of sexual assault as if you need to know anything beyond the fact that it's sexual assault.

Swift's counter lawsuit claims one count of assault and one count of battery, according to the documents. Even that beef with Perry has been pretty one-sided; while Perry embarked on a press tour for her new album and dished on some of the drama, Swift mostly made her moves in silence, towering over the competition.

Taylor Swift is in federal court in Denver for the start of jury selection in her lawsuit against Denver disc jockey David Mueller involving a groping allegation.

At the time of the alleged incident, Mueller was a radio DJ for country music station 98.5 KYGO in Denver on the Ryno and Jackson morning show, going by "Jackson".

- Greg Dent, Swift's bodyguard, may be called to testify about what he saw during the encounter.

"It was not an accident, it was completely intentional, and I have never been so sure of anything in my life", Swift said in a deposition. The singer will also testify in what will be her first public acknowledgement of the incident and case.

"KYGO fired Mueller for violating the morality clause of his contract after it independently determined that he had lied about the incident, changed his story, and inappropriately touched Ms". An additional viewing room with 75 seats will be set up elsewhere in the courthouse, with monitors for more interested parties to watch. Swift says she will donate any money she receives to charities.
