2 militants shot dead in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, counter-operation underway

The security forces said they received information on Saturday about the presence of militants in the area, following which they cordoned off the village.

The officer said one person, whose identity is being ascertained, was hit by a bullet in the shoulder and rushed to a hospital.

Pulwama: Two Hizbul Mujahidin militants were killed in a brief encounter at Tahab village in south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday morning.

"The situation is under control, initial reports indicate that they (militates) are from Hizb-ul-Mujahideen", said Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid.
