Warner Bros. Pictures certainly isn't hesitating to keep the hype for this movie going strong as The Batman was one of several title cards included in their sizzle reel of upcoming projects, appearing alongside Suicide Squad 2, Justice League Dark, Batgirl, Green Lantern Corps and Wonder Woman 2. Warner Bros. were reportedly dismayed with what Zack Snyder did with the character in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, not to mention the farrago of Affleck dramatically leaving the director's seat for The Batman and near constant rumors that there are top to bottom problems with the film's script.

What's more, Affleck made clear he was happy to star in Matt Reeves planned trilogy of Batman movies. Reeves recently directed "War for the Planet of the Apes".

"Batman is the coolest. part in any universe, D.C., Marvel, it's incredible".

Luckily, at Warner Brothers' Hall-H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Affleck came out on stage and flat out denied the rumors with a statement showing his enthusiasm for the role. "I'm so thrilled to do it". "It's f*cking awesome! I still can't believe it after two films". I still can't believe it after two films that we've had this great history with this studio and they said "We want you to be our Batman" and I believe them. "Matt Reeves, doing it, I would be an ape on the ground for Matt Reeves, never mind be Batman". Im blown away and its an exciting time in the DC Universe.
