A gunman identified as a doctor opened fire inside the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in NY on Friday, killing a woman and wounding several people before killing himself, according to law enforcement officials.
A police official said he had a long gun, New York TImes reported.
A source told Fox 5 that Dr. Henry Bello, a former family medicine physician at the hospital, opened fire inside the hospital with a rifle or a shotgun.
As many as five or six people may have been wounded, the Times said, citing a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Donald later confirmed that the suspected shooter was confirmed dead, though there was no immediate word on how he died.

The shooter is now dead, according to NY police. The police discovered a trail of blood leading from the second floor of the hospital up to the 16th floor, where the shooter is believed to be barricaded.
