Israel is in love with its very own 'Wonder Woman'

Following the near-universal positive reception to Wonder Woman - and an outstanding opening weekend - DC and Warner Bros. have to be breathing a sigh of relief. Having grossed $254 million worldwide and sitting at a solid 93% on Rotten Tomatoes as of right now, Wonder Woman has defied the expectations of many and has proved that DC can make a good movie. Just for "Wonder Woman" itself, Variety reports the most-tweeted names were Gal Gadot, followed by director Patty Jenkins, then Chris Pine.

On a magical Amazonian island, Princess Diana (Gadot) is raised by her mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) and her aunt, General Antiope (Robin Wright), to be a strong warrior.

Gadot says that the mother-daughter relationship is always a attractive but complex relationship, with plenty of room to explore.

According to Nielsen, their return will explore their characters's relationship as sisters and it will be "kind of badass". Sorry to say, buddy, she had stolen my heart in another franchise much before she stole yours with WW, and it was not her appearance in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

I will be the first to admit that this story probably wouldn't get a pass from studios and might not make for the best sequel, but would certainly be interesting to see on screen. As if sent by the gods, we now have Wonder Woman, a superhero movie with mercifully short fight scenes and a sensibility unlike maybe any other superhero movie I've seen.

Last week, The Hollywood Reporter wrote that both Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot were signed on for a Wonder Woman sequel.

Indeed, with backstory characters in Diane Lane's MARTHA!

"Wonder Woman" is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action and some suggestive content. It isn't the best superhero film ever, but it is the best from the DC Expanded Universe that leads up to the Justice League.

This would align itself nicely with Jenkins' idea that Wonder Woman would have to go to the United States next.

The biggest spoiler came from a Wonder Woman cast member. "Recently we've, for some reason, only chosen men to be those universal characters so often".
