"Like, I don't know what to do after that, you know".

The deaths of two Portland, Oregon, men last Friday, have reminded me that everyday citizens also make patriotic sacrifices. Countless people across the world mourned the deaths of fearless souls who stood up to a white supremacist yelling racial and religious epithets at two young women.

He has been appointed public defenders. Death to enemies of America. This is America. Get out if you don't like free speech!

He was arrested and booked into Multnomah County Jail. In Oregon, aggravated murder is punishable by execution, but the state has not carried out one in more than two decades, CNN reported. OR has not executed a prisoner in more than two decades.

Christian's criminal records also showed a number of felonies dating back to 2002, including first-degree robbery and second-degree kidnapping. His sentences in those cases were not immediately available.

"This is about those little girls", he said.

The man charged with stabbing three men on a Portland light-rail train told jailers that he has no income, no mental health issues and does not remember the last time he had a permanent address. Prosecutors say he attacked them after they confronted him for harassing two young black women, one of whom wore a Muslim head covering.

"He told us to go back to Saudi Arabia and he told us we shouldn't be here, to get out of his country", Mangum told KPTV. "They were just human beings that we all have the capacity to be".

Unfortunately, nothing was done to remove Christian from the train.

Michaels says Fletcher told her Christian yelled the epithets and also threatened to decapitate people. And three men - strangers to the girls and one another - stepping up to intervene. While people are praising him for his heroism, he said, the teens "need to be reminded that this is about them".

Several passengers chased after the suspect and called 911, directing officers to his whereabouts, according to local media. Just before the arraignment started, the surviving victim, Micah Fletcher, was escorted into the courtroom surrounded by his family.

A group of about 20 people or so gathered outside the courtroom Tuesday and could be heard yelling things like "bigot" and "murderer" throughout the proceedings.

Prohibiting a rally based on the political views of demonstrators would be unconstitutional even though "our hearts are broken" following the stabbings, said Mat Dos Santos, the legal director for the American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon.

Another incident the day before?

Ricky John Best, 53, a city employee and father of four kids, died at the scene; Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche, 23, who recently graduated from college, was pronounced dead at a hospital; Micah David-Cole Fletcher, 21, was treated for injuries.

"The Christian Family offer their heartfelt condolences to those men who lost their lives at the hands of their son on May 26, 2017", the statement said.
