Stormy Memorial Day Weekend

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Memorial Day Weekend looks 50/50 so far.

There will be two main weather makers to watch this weekend. Sunday would be the best day to spend indoors checking out the latest summer blockbuster movie, or even prepping in the kitchen for Monday's cookout. A few showers may develop as a more indirect result of this system's development and subsequent track into the Mid-Atlantic.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. It'll be a pleasant day outdoors with highs ranging from the upper 60s at the beaches to 70-75 inland.

Meanwhile, down at the ground, an area of low pressure is evolving across the Ohio River Valley. Cloudy, with a high near 59.

Sunday is not too bad with sunshine to start followed by increasing clouds. And, no surprise, a round of showers and thunderstorms will be possible, especially later in the day (from about 2 p.m. onward).

You get the usual weapons from Okami , as well as brand new brush techniques and attacks that were not seen in the original game. Although they are not completely new to the series, they are considered an impressive addition to the game's roster.

Siena poll: Trump's job ratings fall, Congressional Democrats and GOP worse
Three quarters (75%) of Democrats said the media was being fair, while three quarters of Republicans (76%) said they weren't. The president asserted that he had lost confidence in Comey's ability to lead the FBI, The New York Times reports.

Pediatricians toughen advice against fruit juice for infants
Doctors and dentists are hoping to avoid giving kids a sugary drink that sip on in bottles and sippy cups all day. The guidelines also strongly discourage unpasteurized juice products, which can carry pathogens such as E. coli .

Tomorrow will be much cooler; the GFS forecast model now indicates a high of just 64 degrees for our area, with very breezy conditions continuing.

Monday's forecast is also a bit tricky. Sunday a front will stall over Middle Tennessee.

Behind this system, daily high temps drop back into the upper 70s, which is about typical for this time of year. Temperatures will once again stay lower than normal with highs in the 60s. Friday will start out with a mix of clouds and sun, but scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop pretty much across the state by afternoon. Temperatures are expected to peak in the low to mid 70s. But those out on the road will need lights and windshield wipers on thanks to isolated and scattered showers that will come and go through Tuesday.

Winds will be from the west at around 11 miles per hour, gusting to 22 miles per hour.

Right now it look like rain will return to the forecast for Memorial Day Monday. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
