Wisconsin sheriff and outspoken Donald Trump supporter David Clark reportedly plagiarized parts of his college master's thesis on USA security, according to evidence uncovered by CNN.
In each instance of plagiarism, CNN discovered that Clarke lifted language directly form his sources without putting quotation marks around them, although he does credit them in footnotes.
According to CNN, the content that Clarke allegedly copied included several reports from the ACLU, a commission report on 9/11, an article in the Homeland Security Affairs journal from 2011, and more.
Clarke has accepted a post in the Trump administration and will become an assistant secretary in the Department of Homeland Security.
