Capitals overwhelm Penguins 5-2 to force Game 7

It's not 1992. It's not 1996, 2009 or 2016 for that matter.

Trotz said he believes Fleury will continue to play well, and Penguins coach Mike Sullivan had no issues with the veteran's showing in Game 5. Not that it bothers the Capitals. FILE- This May 13, 2009 file photo shows Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury (29) making a save on Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin (8), from Russian Federation, during the first period of Game 7 of an NHL hockey sec. OKish, maybe. Certainly not playing at the level he did during the regular season, not remotely like he did in Pittsburgh's wins in Games 1 and 2 in Washington.

"All it's going to take is all we have", Trotz said Sunday. And they're going to get a seventh game of it Wednesday thanks to the Capitals' 5-2 win Monday night. He missed Game 4 with a concussion and returned for Game 5 on Saturday.

Two late goals from Jake Guentzel and Evegeni Malkin were mere consolation for the Penguins, who at one stage had led the best-of-seven series 3-1.

Plays like Bonino's bring fresh headlines, but Campbell said he feels embellishment is no longer rampant after saying in June 2014 it was "out of control". Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury was busier, stopping 21 of 26 Washington shots.

"I think we were probably guilty of making a few mistakes early on and then probably chasing our mistakes after that", said Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby, who had an assist in 20 minutes but was largely a nonfactor in his second game back after missing Game 4 with a concussion. Sullivan also moved rookie Guentzel alongside Malkin and put Conor Sheary with Crosby. One of the heroes of Pittsburgh's 2016 Cup run, he insisted he thought he was hit in the face, seeing on replay that Oshie's stick pushed the plastic part of shoulder pad into his jaw to draw his reaction.

Harden, Rockets rout Spurs 125-104 to tie series
It isn't a coincidence that in the two games the Rockets have won in this series the pace has been played at their liking. In game four, Mike D'Antoni was forced to adapt his usual lineup with Nene's absence. "He was giving me problems".

Tiffany Trump admitted to Georgetown Law in Washington
Given that Georgetown Law is one of the more selective law schools in the country, it appears as though she certainly did have it. In December, Politico reported that students spotted Trump, in all black and with Secret Service escorts, at Harvard Law School.

This past October, the NHL announced updates to its concussion protocol, the centrepiece of which was a new staff of "Central League Spotters" that would monitor all contests from the NHL's Player Safety Room in NY. "It doesn't hurt the psyche, that's for sure, because I think it takes a little frustration out of your game if you finally crack through a little bit".

Then again, neither did any of his teammates as Washington dominated. The Capitals tied this Eastern Conference semifinal series at three games apiece to force a Game 7 in Washington on Wednesday night, staving off elimination for a second straight game. By then the Capitals already had a 1-0 lead on Oshie's fourth of the playoffs.

The NHL's current concussion policy would only allow a spotter to remove Crosby from the game had he hit his head on the ice or another player. Defenseman Ron Hainsey went to boards to retrieve a loose puck in the Penguins end only to get checked by Burakovsky, who skated away with the puck and stuffed a shot past Fleury 6:36 into the second. Home teams don't have almost the same success in the National Hockey League in game sevens as they do in the NBA, but Washington has to have far more confidence over Pittsburgh with the way the last two games played out.

Yet instead of simply trying to protect its advantage, Washington kept pressing.

Nicklas Backstrom, John Carlson, and Andre Burakovsky scored for Washington in the third-period. We know it's not going to be the exact same story. "I think a majority of guys in the league aren't comfortable doing that". He was replaced in the lineup by D Chad Ruhwedel, who made his National Hockey League playoff debut. He also, found himself uncharacteristically out of position on Tom freakin' Wilson which led to Sid taking a hooking call and ultimately a Caps power play goal. The Penguins were 0 for 3.
