Arlington police were processing the restaurant for any evidence late into the evening Wednesday. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who have not named them.
The shooting happened at the Zona Caliente Sports Bar in the 6500 block of South Cooper Street around 6:17 p.m. Cook says that customer was carrying a handgun under the Texas concealed handgun license program. Lt. Christopher Cook said two people were killed, including the alleged shooter.
A sequence of events is still being determined, but witnesses told police that a man entered the bar and engaged in an altercation with a male employee. He allegedly walked into Zona Caliente, began arguing with the manager - 37-year-old Cesar Perez - and then pulled out a gun and killed Perez.
