A fund-raising campaign by the Animal Adventure Park to name April the giraffe's calf was launched after its birth. Her birth was broadcast to an online audience of more than a million viewers.

"We will all be there to say goodbye", the zoo said. This calf is her fourth; it's her mate Oliver's first. At some point early next week, Jordan says he'll reveal a plan for scheduled times enthusiasts can "tune in and check on baby, April, and Oliver and your favorite cast and characters", referring to Alyssa, Corey, and Dr. Tim.

Keepers at the Harpursville zoo went live on Facebook moments before to thank their viewers for coming with them on the pregnant giraffe ride. A healthy male calf was born April 15 and the zoo's livestream of April ended Friday afternoon in order for the zoo to focus on its summer season, the wildlife park wrote on Facebook.
