The video shows Gable pushing the 4-year-old girl down four flights of steps before she apparently realized there was a camera.

In the video, a day care worker can be seen shoving the child in the back at the top of the stairs. Police said she will also likely be charged with reckless endangerment.

A camera installed 30 minutes before the incident reportedly captured footage of Sarah Gable, 52, of Folcroft, whom police say pushed the child down the steps at around 5:15 p.m. Friday at Childcare of the Future in Primos, WPVI reported.

"I think it's every parent's worst nightmare that sends their kid to daycare", Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said Monday.

Shawayne Tavares is a caretaker at the daycare center in Clifton Heights, a suburb of Philadelphia.

"It still hurts me, just seeing the video", Tavares told CNN affiliate KYW. "Her eyes were literally like 'help me.' And I'm just like I'm here".
