Say What?! Rachel Dolezal's New Name Is West African

She has changed her name on legal documents but is still noticed by people on the street, who, as The Guardian reported, "point at her and laugh".

Rachel's reputation took a serious hit in 2015 when her parents outed her as being White, leading to loss of her position as an NAACP leader as well as a professor at a Washington university.

Dolezal is facing homelessness and unemployment as a result of her defiance to be seen as Black.

Nkechi, which is short for Nkechinyere, originates from the Igbo language of Nigeria - and translates to "what God has given" or "gift of God", the Mail reports.

But in the grand scheme of things, that may be one of her biggest mistakes.
