Microsoft announces subscription service Xbox Game Pass

Posted March 01, 2017

Third-party titles will also hit the Xbox Game Pass Service such as Saints Row IV Re-Elected, NBA 2K16, Mad Max, Lego Batman, Payday 2, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Soul Calibur II.

Perhaps most importantly, Xbox Game Pass gives you access to current-generation and previous-gen titles. Microsoft are going to be adding some new games and taking some away every month, but once you download the game or add it to your library, it will still be playable once its "shelf life" is up.

According to a press release received by Xbox NZ, Game Pass will come in at $10.95 NZD per month. Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft Studios have all signed on to the project and will be providing games for the service.

For example, if there are 50 games available in the Xbox Game Pass on any given month then maybe 10 or 20 will leave the program while others enter it.

When it comes to streaming media, Netflix is at the top of the heap.

There will be no limit to how numerous available games a single user can have downloaded to their device at one time, aside from raw storage space. That means you don't have to worry about things like latency, lag spikes, or bandwidth issues.
