Moto adds some premium flair to the budget G5 and G5 Plus

Motorola is going to come out with the Gamepad Moto Mod this summer which will transform the handset into a mobile gaming console by adding physical controls, an integrated battery, and more. Moto says it will launch in the United States sometime in March for $49 Dollars. Both the smartphones have much to offer to the users.

The Moto G5 has a 5-inch LCD display, while the Moto G5 Plus has a bigger 5.2-inch screen, feels ideal in hand. In the storage segment, it comes with 32GB or 64GB internal storage with an option to expand the storage via microSD card and RAM varies from 2GB-4GB depending on the model you chose. As the G5 has a microSD card slot, though, expanding storage is no problem at all. The Moto G5 has a 2800mAh removable battery, while the G5 Plus has a 3000mAh removable battery. In the G5 there's a 13-megapixel rear camera, complete with phase-detection autofocus and paired with an f/2.0 aperture lens. The only downside is that the larger 5.2-inch screen is still capped at 1080p, but you really can't go higher without stepping out of budget bounds. A 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, and 2 or 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage power the G5 Plus. There's also a "TurboPower" charging feature, which the company claims will give you up to six hours of battery life in just 15 minutes.

It's Google Assistant on a low-priced Motorola phone.Another noteworthy additional to the Moto G lineup is Google Assistant, meaning that the Moto G joins the LG G6 among the first non-Pixel devices to ship with the voice-powered assistant installed. While this is looks useful, as someone who had the original Mindstorms platform many moons ago, I can't imagine the intersection of Mindstorms owners and Moto Z buyers is substantial at all.

Along with the new Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, Moto today announced that it's got some new Moto Mods for its Z series of phones. The Moto G5 Plus will be launched for the USA and it is priced at €279/$299 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant.
