An Indian engineer for Garmin, 32-year-old Srinivas Kuchibhotla, was shot and killed Wednesday in a Kansas restaurant by a white man who thought he was shooting at a Middle Eastern man.

The two men, one of whom reportedly had lived in the United States for more than a decade, were shot were at a bar outside Kansas City late Wednesday, according to The Kansas City Star newspaper.

At least one witness said that the gunman, identified as Adam Purinton, 51, yelled "get out of my country" before opening shooting.

An Indian man who survived a suburban Kansas City bar shooting that killed his friend and wounded a man who tried to intervene has been released from the hospital. He and his wounded colleague, Alok Madasani, both from the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, worked at Garmin International, a Global Positioning System navigation and communications company.

Purinton has been charged with premeditated first-degree murder and two counts of attempted premeditated first-degree murder.

Madasani graduated with a masters from UMKC.

He brushed aside suggestions that he was a hero when he spoke to local TV News channel KMBC from his hospital bed.

While condemning the attack on Indian-origin engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla at a Kansas City bar, the USA government has assured the Indian Embassy that they are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. "I need an answer from the government".

Chelsea vs Swansea City
The bar is set high, however Swansea players seem to be enjoying 2017 and there will be no pressure to bring home any points. Costa's goal, seven minutes from time made the scoreline look like it was a dominant display, but it was anything but.

Barclays Turns To Profit In Q4
The bank was also helped by lower costs for bad conduct, dropping from 4.4 billion pounds in 2015 to 1.4 billion pounds in 2016. Barclays also announced it intends to close down its non-core division six months earlier than planned on 30th June 2017.

"From what I understand when he was throwing racial slurs at the two gentlemen (Kuchibhotla and Madasani), Ian (Grillot) stood up for them", Bohnen said.

He has not been charged with a hate crime. The bartender quietly called police, and Purinton, a U.S. Navy veteran, former air traffic controller and private pilot, was arrested without incident about five hours after the shooting.

Kuchibhotla was an engineer from South Indian city of Hyderabad. "Obviously, any loss of life is tragic, but I'm not going to get into, like, to suggest that there's any correlation I think is a bit absurd".

It also clearly stated about the involvement and the deep concern of Indian government in this case, Government of India has taken up the matter with USA authorities to express deep concern and have asked for a speedy investigation.

Indians expressed "our deep concern over the incident" to the USA government and requested a "thorough and speedy investigation", Pratik Mathur, spokesman for the Indian embassy in Washington, said.

"The deceased and the injured persons are from Hyderabad and Warangal, and have been working at Garmin in Olathe (Kansas)", Swarup said.

"A relative of mine works at Garmin, so I might have even been at some of the same company events, such as Winter Fest a year ago, since all Garmin employees were invited to the dinner".
