Missing Ohio State student found dead near park; death investigated as homicide

A Columbus newspaper today identified the missing Ohio State University student found dead Thursday in a Columbus suburb as Toledo area native Reagan Tokes.

Investigators weren't saying if she was killed in the park or her body dumped there, the paper reported.

Police say Tokes appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.

Reagan Tokes, a fourth-year in psychology, was declared missing by her sister Makenzie on Thursday after having not been seen since leaving her shift at Bodega in the Short North on Wednesday night.

Her vehicle was found in Columbus.

Her roommates and co-workers reported her missing when she failed to return home, the Dispatch reports.

Police in Grove City have not responded to request for comment as of 11 a.m. Friday morning. Tokes was shot and the "investigation is being addressed as a homicide", the Grove City police said.

Tokes was set to graduate in May, the paper reports.

"Thank you all for your prayers and support for my attractive niece/god daughter Reagan Tokes that went missing at OSU last night".

Counselors will be available at the university from 5 p.m.to 10 p.m.in the Ohio Union's Alonso Family Room located in the Student Life Multicultural Center.
