Here's What's New In Windows 10 Build 15031 For Insiders

Microsoft doesn't mention Project Neon in the slide but shows its Groove Music app in the same design as the images leaked in January.

Microsoft today announced the release of Windows 10 Creators Update, build 15031 for Insiders in the Fast ring.

To date, all we have seen of Project Neon is a few application previews from certain developers, which seemed to feature much fancier transparency options for the UI, as well as new animations to make everything feel more fluid.

Executives outlined a series of new initiatives for developers, largely focused on Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps - programs and games that can run on everything from Windows 10 PCs and the Xbox One to smartphones and holographic headsets. It locks after 30 seconds. This feature can be enabled in Settings Accounts Sign-in options.

Microsoft has offered a glimpse of Project Neon, the rumored new design language for the Windows 10 Redstone 3 update.

Keeping a window visible in this way could be useful for keeping an eye on video, said Dona Sarkar, software engineer with Microsoft's Windows and Devices Group, for example, when checking the web during a Skype conversation or watching a movie while browsing email.

The other neat feature in the update is Dynamic Lock, which introduces the ability to automatically lock your computer when a Bluetooth device goes out of range.
